Mountain Healthcare Achieves First Positive UKAS Recommendation in the UK SARC Sector

Mountain Healthcare has achieved the first positive UKAS recommendation in the UK SARC (Sexual Assault Referral Centre) sector.

Following a rigorous assessment of our Derby and Nottingham SARCs, we are proud to announce that Mountain Healthcare has become the first provider in the UK SARC sector to receive a UKAS recommendation for Accreditation under ISO 15189 and the Forensic Science Regulator’s Code of Practice.

The recommendation is a significant milestone towards achieving full accreditation in early 2026, and a testament to the exceptional work, care, and governance provided by our teams.

Our achievement reflects Mountain Healthcare’s unwavering commitment to delivering the highest standards in forensic and trauma-informed healthcare services, while continuing to shape the future of forensic healthcare in the UK.

The Mountain Healthcare Board would like to thank all our staff for the continued hard work and dedication.

We look forward to updating you on our progress.
