New Contract for TVP Solace Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC)

Following a recent collaborative decision by NHSE South East, Health & Justice and G4S, from 1st June 2024, the TVP Solace Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARCs – Bicester and Slough) will be managed by Mountain Healthcare for a10-month period until 31st March 2025.

NHSE South East Health & Justice are currently undertaking a formal re-procurement of the service for services commencing 1st April 2025.

TVP Solace SARC currently operates in two centres: Bicester and Slough

As part of the transition process, G4S (the outgoing service provider) and Mountain Healthcare will work closely together to ensure a seamless and efficient transfer of services with minimal disruption to patient care.

Patients can rest assured that they will continue to receive the same level of care and attention they have come to expect from the TVP Solace SARCs, with the added benefit of enhanced services and resources provided by Mountain Healthcare.

The TVP Solace SARCs (Bicester and Slough) will continue to provide confidential health care and support services to children, young people and adults in Thames Valley who have experienced any form of sexual assault including rape.

The TVP Solace SARC services will deliver support in relation to recent and non-recent incidents, comprehensive forensic medical examinations, forensic evidence storage, providing onward signposting referrals for follow-up services which address health and emotional well-being, social and ongoing needs, and make direct referrals to other specialist services such as local Independent Sexual Violence Advisors (ISVAs).

All service users aged 18 years and older (16 and 17 years, if clinically applicable) can self-refer directly to the SARC to receive care or can be referred by the police and agency professionals (Health and Social care, Local authorities, and the public sector) with their consent.

Children 15 and under must be referred via the Police and/or Social Care.
