Dear all, 

We are sharing information that the Horizon Adult Sexual Assault Referral Centre (SARC) located in Birmingham will be temporarily closed from 00:00am on Monday, 24th of March 2025, for approximately 7-8 weeks due to essential maintenance work. 

While we understand the critical nature of our services, this temporary closure is necessary to carry out the essential renovations and improvements to the facility. This decision has been made to ensure the safety, comfort, and quality of our services for our service users. 

Accessing our SARC services during the closure:

During the closure, all service users will be directed to their nearest local SARC. We understand that some may face difficulties getting there. If you are experiencing challenges in reaching the SARC and have no other means of support, please let us know when you contact us, so we can explore possible assistance.  

Our alternative locations may include: 

• Grange Park SARC – Stoke-on-Trent (Staffordshire) 
• Blue Sky Centre SARC – Nuneaton (Warwickshire) 
• The Glade SARC: Hub – Bransford (Herefordshire and Worcestershire);  Spoke – Telford (Shropshire) (West Mercia) 

How to get help 

You can access our SARC via appointment only. 

• For support and guidance including referrals into the service (Police/professionals and Self referrals), please call our Pathway Support Services at 0330 223 0099 (24/7/365) 
• Alternatively, for non-urgent enquiries you can email horizon.sarc@nhs.net (email monitored Mon-Fri, 9 AM – 5 PM). Please note that this email is not monitored 24/7, if you need urgent advice due to a recent assault (within the last 7-10 days), please contact us by telephone, so that we can provide you with advice as soon as possible.
