As part of our ongoing commitment to corporate social responsibility, Mountain Healthcare is excited to announce Denim for Dementia Day 2024; an internal fundraising event to support the incredible work of the Alzheimer’s Society. On Friday, September 27th, 2024, our team will come together to raise awareness and contribute to the fight against dementia.

What is Denim for Dementia?

Alzheimer’s Society puts it this way ” What do you call a denim expert? A jeanius! And that’s exactly what we want you to be”. The Society is currently running a Denim for Dementia campaign to raise awareness and fund. In line with this initiative, our staff members will be wearing a denim to work as a visible show of support for those affected by dementia.

Along with donning their favorite jeans or denim jackets, our employees will make donations to the Alzheimer’s Society, a charity dedicated to supporting individuals living with dementia and funding critical research into this devastating condition.

While the event is internal, we want to share the news with the public to highlight the importance of dementia awareness and the need for ongoing support for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Why Mountain Healthcare Supports Alzheimer’s Society

At Mountain Healthcare, we recognise that dementia impacts millions of individuals and their families worldwide. The Alzheimer’s Society plays a vital role in providing much-needed support services and advancing research efforts to find better treatments—and ultimately, a cure. By participating in Denim for Dementia, our staff is demonstrating Mountain’s dedication to making a difference beyond our core mission in health and justice services.

How We’re Organising Denim for Dementia

On September 27th, Our employees across all our locations will be wearing denim as part of this internal fundraising event. Staff will make individual donations, contributing to the Alzheimer’s Society’s ongoing work in dementia care, education, and research.

While we are not seeking public donations, we believe it’s important to raise awareness of the Alzheimer’s Society and the impact that initiatives like Denim for Dementia can have. By highlighting this event, we hope to encourage other organizations to take part in similar efforts to support important causes.

Although this is an internal event, we encourage the public to follow along and show their support by sharing our posts on social media. Together, we can amplify the message of dementia awareness and ensure that the Alzheimer’s Society continues to have the resources it needs to help those affected.
